I'm an Associate Professor of Applied Economics and Policy at Cornell University with appointments in the Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management and the Jeb E. Brooks School of Public Policy. I'm also Faculty Fellow at the Cornell Atkinson Center for Sustainability and serve on the Cornell Research Integrity Council.

I'm broadly interested in how people cope and adapt to environmental change. The core of my research program focuses on fundamental agricultural sustainability issues, particularly related to climate change. I also work extensively on non-agricultural topics often when working with students. I often collaborate with non-economists across and beyond our campus.

I have editorial responsabilities at various academic journals including the Journal of the Association of Environmental and Resource Economists, Climatic Change, Environmental Research: Food Systems and the Journal of Wine Economics.

I was part of the author team of the Sixth National Climate Assessment (NCA6) until it was disbanded in April of 2025.
